How is a community affected by its environment?

A community is affected by its environment by all the stuff around and in the actual place. For example the things in the environment like ugly trees and messed up sidewalk make the community look really run down and really nasty.Lashonda feels the same way. Also maybe the types of houses in the environment affect the community. If there are ugly run down houses it makes the community look like there are a lot of dirty things in the area and makes people feel that there is no one who cares about the community and its appearances. Those are some bad affects an environment would have on the community.
