Relationships

How do relationships create community?

Relationships create a community by people who know one another. I think there are two kinds of relationships: a casual-friendly relationship, and an intimate one. In an intimate relationship it could be a girl and boy dating. You know like a couple.

Relationships between friends and families and in acquaintances create community. They all commune together with respect and loyalty, which results in community.

For instance, on my block in my community, block club in the neighborhood. Everyone helps work together on everything. I say this because Lashonda community does the same thing. The community does recreational things together; we plan meetings and block club parties. The person who runs this block club is a lady named Judy Young. Everyone plays a part in the preparation of the party. What I do in preparation for the party is pass out fliers door to door to everyone to let them know when the next block meeting will be. I also put up decorations on the block along with me friends.

Judy Young throws these parties every year, around summer time in August. What we do at the parties is play games, run and play, and have contests for prizes. If someone new joins the block that person becomes a member automatically. Everyone has a relationship on my block that is built upon respect and loyalty, friends, family, and some acquaintances.
