The environment affects the community in so many levels. One is how the environment affects the people it attracts. What I mean by this is that if you live in a low-income community there are not going to be a lot of wealthy people in the area. The people that are attracted are usually Mexicans, Puerto Ricans and blacks .For example: I live in Humboldt Park; not to many wealthy people live by me, only people with enough money to get by. The environment is a poor community and also attracts bums, people with no homes and nowhere to go. So when there are drug dealers, gangs and violence in the community the rent around the community goes down. This causes people, who can't afford good housing to move in the area.
